"Infotools" was established in the year 1989 by Mr. Madhav Karandikar. The experience of working as Director in MOD Computers Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai for a period of two years came in handy to make a beginning.

The initial business came in the form of Corporate Training.

This lead to contacts in the legal fraternity at Mumbai. Some attorneys asked us to develop a billing software for them. Some asked for Computer hardware and some asked for leasing options for computer and peripherals purchase. This made our spectrum of working very broad. After dabbling for a period of 3 - 4 years in this wide spectrum around 1995 management decided to concentrate on software development and Corporate Training.

Till last year, 2007, we were producing run-of-mill software products. This has lead to specialization in designing software for professionals.

Year 2008 saw a paradigm shift in software development funda at our company. Now we provide web based solutions using PHP platform. We also provide "xml" data capture and its processing on website. "xml" data can be easily manipulated using Microsoft's Excel 2003 or later version.

Now we have focused on the untapped market of those who desire to have a low cost website.

Year 2008 also saw making tie-ups with other complementary business ventures. This included a tie-up with M/s Medimage Systems for their Hospital management software "MEDIWIND", Clinical Research software. Tie-ups with Hardware vendors to bundle our Rs.995/- website offer with their hardware sale.

Our founder Mr. Madhav Karandikar, is confident about making progress at Infotools by leaps and bounds, to set a right business model when all bigwigs in the software industry are worried about business prospects due to slow down in U.S.A.
